Pine Ridge Secondary School's History Department offers a variety of compulsory and elective courses including grade 10 Canadian history, grade 11 and 12 courses in Ancient history, American history, European history, Politics, and Economics.

Students will also have the benefit of guest speakers, all-candidates meetings, and domestic and overseas trips. Students will be provided with numerous opportunities to learn about historical research through the use of computers. Using a variety of geotechnologies and inquiry and communication methods, students will develop their understanding of the unique characteristics of world regions.
